Welcome and thank you for joining our club. You will find lots of information about the club, whether it's about playing tennis, who the right person is to contact, or you just need to know how PVLTC works; as there is so much information we've created our very own New Members Question and Answer guide.

Q. Do I have to wear white?

A. No, the club no longer has a 'predominantly white' rule and coloured shorts/skirts/tops may be worn, but players are asked to wear recognised sportswear. Tracksuits may also be worn.

Q. What kind of footwear is needed?

A. Tennis shoes must be worn at all times. Trainers with heels, ridged soles or studs are not suitable, as they damage the court surface.

Q. How can I book a court?

A. Booking sheets for a week are normally posted outside the clubhouse on Monday mornings. The sheets show which courts are bookable on given days and which are reserved for specific use. The maximum time on any given booking is three half-hour slots.

Q. Can I just turn up without booking a court?

A. Yes, there is usually at least one court for 'free play'.On these courts, members should play only one short set if others are waiting.

Q. Can I bring a friend to play?

A. Yes, but any visitor can only play four times a year. You should sign them in the Visitors' book in the Clubhouse(near the Men's changing room) and pay the fee into the box provided (currently £2 for a Senior, £1 for a Junior)
